Macao Studio City Brings The Ritz-Carlton and Marriott to Macao

HONG KONG, China ˇX June 1, 2007 ˇX Macao Studio City (MSC), one of Asia's first integrated leisure resort properties combining studios, retail, gaming, entertainment and world-class hotels, announced today that it has completed two sets of operating agreements with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. and Marriott International to manage and operate two hotels. The hotel properties are tentatively named The Ritz-Carlton, Macao Studio City and The Macao Studio City Marriott Hotel.

The Ritz-Carlton will have approximately 256 guest rooms, while the Marriott hotel will have approximately 968 guest rooms. Combined, the rooms and their supporting facilities will occupy a gross floor area of approximately 1,280,000 square feet.

"Macao Studio City is delighted to welcome two of the world's most celebrated hotel brands to our complex. The Ritz-Carlton brand is representative of the hotels of the highest standards of luxury, while the Marriott brand is a deluxe, upscale performance-oriented brand that focuses on enabling the success of its guests," said Mr. David Friedman, co-chairman and co-chief executive officer of Macao Studio City.

Macao Studio City is being developed on an approximately 33-acre site strategically located "Where Cotai BeginsTM", next to the new Lotus Bridge immigration checkpoint, linking the complex directly to Zhuhai's Hengqin Island. When completed, Macao Studio City will boast some of the most comprehensive entertainment and retail facilities of any single property in Macao, with theaters, arenas, television and film production facilities, as well as a 1.4 million square feet Studio RetailTM complex ˇV created in partnership with Taubman Centers, Inc.
